Connect ByteDa to your AI client through MCP.

1. What Is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that enables AI applications to call external tools directly.

After connecting to ByteDa's MCP service, you don't need to open the ByteDa website. Simply enter a sentence in the chat of an AI client such as WorkBuddy to use ByteDa's canvas, image generation, video generation, and other capabilities. The AI will automatically help you complete your design.

For example, enter Use ByteDa to generate a coffee promotion poster in WorkBuddy. It will use ByteDa to generate the image without you having to switch applications.

2. Prerequisites

• A ByteDa account.
• Your AI client must support MCP (such as WorkBuddy, Claude, or Cursor).

3. Setup Steps

3.1 Create an API Key

After signing in, click your avatar in the bottom-left corner and select “API-Key”. Click “+ New API Key” in the top-right corner to generate your API key, then copy it.

⚠️Keep your API key secure

Store your API key securely. Do not share it with others or expose it in browser or client-side code.

If the platform detects that your key has been publicly exposed, it may automatically replace or invalidate the key.

3.2 Copy the Service URL

ByteDa's MCP service URL is:

https://api.byteda.net/byte-da/mcp

3.3 Add the MCP Configuration to Your AI Client

Open the MCP / Connectors settings in your AI client, add a new MCP service, and configure it as follows:

If your client supports pasting a JSON configuration directly, use the template below (replace <YOUR_API_KEY> with the key you generated in Step 1):

Save the configuration, then trust or enable the MCP service in your client to activate it.

4. Verify the Connection

Enter the following prompt in your AI client's chat:

Use ByteDa to generate a coffee promotion poster.

If the AI starts using ByteDa's capabilities and returns an image, you have successfully connected 🎉.
